What you will do
- Deliver clean, maintainable features and resolve end-to-end issues by applying thoughtful engineering approaches.
- Contribute to the technical debt strategy to maintain secure, resilient, and reliable systems.
- Define effective test strategies prioritizing security, usability, and accessibility.
- Participate in code reviews focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement by encouraging inspection and adaptation to enhance team effectiveness.
- Foster a collaborative team culture, mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
- Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities to integrate them into applications.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working as a backend developer on one or more large commercial projects (Node or JVM based frameworks).
- Solid knowledge of modern architecture patterns, including REST-based microservices (Node.js) and clean code principles (SOLID, Onion, Hexagonal).
- Applying best practices in testing and quality assurance, including test-driven development, the testing pyramid, and CI/CD pipelines within Agile frameworks.
- Utilizing cloud and container technologies, with working knowledge of GraphQL, AWS services, and Docker.
- Experience solving complex engineering challenges through effective debugging, root cause analysis, and decision-making.
- Leading and mentoring within teams by facilitating technical workshops and coaching peers.
- Strong grasp of software architecture, threat modelling, and observability practices.
