What you will do

• Shape the technology vision for Second Life and guide the evolution of the virtual world.
• Partner with Product and Operations leaders to align priorities and drive the technical roadmap.
• Engage directly in system design, infrastructure planning, and major technical decisions.
• Oversee desktop and mobile architecture decisions for platform efficiency and evolution.
• Define clear goals and establish engineering metrics for productivity and quality.
• Develop engineering leaders and ICs through coaching and professional development.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, with deep technical fluency in large-scale distributed systems and consumer-facing products.
• Experience leading organizations through modernization and architectural transformation.
• Recognized leadership in applying AI to software development and product innovation.
• Hands-on proficiency with C++ and Linux, with deep understanding of systems architecture.
• Proven experience driving modernization efforts in AWS, including CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, performance optimization, and platform-specific challenges.
