What you will do

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse and high-performing engineering team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
• Drive the team to deliver on feature requests, enhancing Vault's capabilities.
• Expand and enhance Vault features, ensuring it remains a key differentiator for the product.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, and other cross-functional teams to align on product vision and deliver innovative solutions.
• Develop and refine robust processes to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of Vault.
• Prioritize and address customer issues and feedback, continuously improving the customer experience.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role; experience leading diverse product engineering teams is highly preferred.
• Strong background in cloud services and infrastructure; proficiency in Go and familiarity with other programming languages (Python, Ruby) are beneficial.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and team success.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with building/using cryptographic systems or services such as PKI, HSMs, TLS or Vault features such as Transit/Transform.
• Experience using hirify.global products (Terraform, Packer, Waypoint, Nomad, Vault, Boundary, Consul).
• Prior experience working in cloud platform engineering teams.
