What you will do

• Identify current and future sustainability metrics for the company.
• Set up simple, repeatable ways for teams to provide sustainability data.
• Investigate inconsistencies in ESG data and help teams fix them.
• Transform raw ESG numbers into clear insights for reports, filings, and internal decision-makers.
• Keep track of new reporting rules (e.g., CSRD/ESRS) and update processes accordingly.
• Lead interactions with auditors, supplying data, explanations, and documentation.
• Design ESG control frameworks and develop related sustainability policies.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in ESG data management, sustainability reporting, audit, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of sustainability regulations and standards (including CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GHG Protocol).
• Solid spreadsheet skills, including complex formulas, lookups, and pivots.
• Hands-on experience setting up or operating control processes.
• Strong critical thinking skills, comfortable questioning numbers and identifying inconsistencies.
• A structured working style with the ability to prioritize multiple workstreams.
• Clear communication skills to explain complex topics to non-experts.
• Independence and initiative to build and improve processes from scratch.
• Proven ability to organize and lead cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Implementing or working with COSO or other internal control frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
• Familiarity with assurance requirements for ESG or non-financial reporting.
