What you will do

• Design and build scalable features for hirify.global’s Internal Developer Portal using Backstage.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to improve developer workflows and internal tooling.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and promote best practices.
• Write clean and maintainable code.
• Lead aspects of technical architecture and enhancement of the tech stack and roadmaps.
• Mentor and grow other team members.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional fullstack software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to build scalable, performance-optimized web applications using hirify.global, Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React.
• Experience with unit testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Hands-on experience leveraging Kubernetes, Helm, and modern infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Solid understanding of API Integrations, service discovery, and experience with distributed, highly-scalable systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to write/review technical design documents.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience working with Backstage (by Spotify), including platform extensions and portal management.
• Deep understanding of Backstage architecture (plugin development, software catalog, scaffolder, TechDocs).
• Experience in using and applying large language models or AI application development.
