Scrum Master

TL;DR

Scrum Master (Agile/SAFe): Leading Agile transformation and scaling methodologies for multiple teams supporting national defense priorities, with an accent on facilitating Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and impediment removal. Focus on mentoring teams in SAFe, coordinating cross-team initiatives, and integrating Agile tools to create impactful solutions.

Location: On-site in Washington, D.C. or Arlington, VA. Active Top Secret clearance required.

What you will do

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Act as a servant leader and Agile coach for multiple teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
• Identify and remove impediments to team progress, maintaining focus on delivering high-value increments.
• Mentor teams in adopting and scaling Agile methodologies, including the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Track and report Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and sprint health to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in supporting Agile teams or working within an Agile environment.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar industry certification.
• Basic proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Active Top Secret clearance required (SCI eligibility preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Interest in or foundational knowledge of AI/ML pipelines, data engineering, or national defense projects.

Nice to have

• Experience working in CDAO, Pentagon, Joint Staff or CYBERCOM environments.
• Exposure to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices.
• Experience working in a DoD or federal contracting environment.
