Principal Product Manager (AI): Driving the development and deployment of foundational language and multimodal AI models for Microsoft Copilot, with an accent on balancing product needs with cutting-edge research and ensuring model quality and safety. Location: Paris, France. Expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if living within 25 miles of Paris.

What you will do

• Identify and prioritize language and multimodal model issues, collaborating with researchers for resolution.
• Create novel data collection tasks for evaluating models and gathering fine-tuning data.
• Engineer prompts to guide model behavior across various scenarios and create model prototypes for new features.
• Define and manage engineering and research projects in close collaboration with teams.
• Deploy and track AB model experiments in production.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and responsible AI advancement.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree AND experience working with AI researchers, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Proven track record as a Product Manager with first-hand experience evaluating and deploying LLMs into production.
• Experience working side-by-side with Researchers and/or Engineers.
