TL;DR

Manager, People Operations: Leading and developing the HR Generalists team, owning the global employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, and driving operational excellence using technology and AI. Focus on building scalable processes, ensuring enterprise readiness (SOC2, SOX compliance), and enabling global expansion by researching local employment laws and integrating HR processes for new locations.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, California). Must work from hirify.global offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year (for roles based in San Francisco).

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of People Ops Generalists, setting clear expectations and fostering growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the global employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Leverage technology and AI to build scalable HR processes, policies, and workflows.
  • Establish audit-ready documentation and implement internal controls for SOC2 and SOX compliance.
  • Research local employment laws and integrate HR processes for global expansion.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of the contingent workforce program and vendor relationships.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in People Operations, including scaling from 1,000 to 3,000+ employees in a high-growth tech environment.
  • 2+ years managing a team.
  • Deep knowledge of employee lifecycle management best practices and compliance requirements across multiple geographies.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday (HCM) and comfort operating across multiple People tools and systems.
  • Strong understanding of audit requirements and experience implementing internal controls for compliance audits.
  • Process-driven with the flexibility to adapt and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
  • English: B2 required.

  • Experience supporting global expansion and setting up international entity operations.
  • Experience managing contingent workforce programs and vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with HR data analysis and advanced reporting.
