Senior Delivery Manager

TL;DR

Senior Delivery Manager: Taking ownership of digital programmes from a standing start and bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to a multi-discipline engineering environment with an accent on establishing delivery processes, coordinating dependencies, and enabling a confident, predictable delivery rhythm. Focus on building ways of working from scratch, influencing programme execution, and ensuring outcomes are delivered on time.

Location: Hybrid role based in Manchester, GB. Expect to come into the office a couple of times per week.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of digital programmes.
• Define priorities, capacity, and throughput with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Provide support and coaching to Business Analysts and Scrum Masters.
• Coordinate communications, change, testing, and business readiness activities.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and impediments, driving mitigation plans.
• Create and maintain programme-level roadmaps, timelines, and delivery insights.
• Coach delivery maturity, continuous improvement, and collaboration across squads.

Requirements

• Hands-on delivery management experience within digital development environments required.
• Proven track record delivering 2-3 substantial end-to-end digital initiatives.
• Deep experience with Agile, sprint-based methodologies, and modern delivery frameworks.
• Ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous, early-stage programmes.
• Strong forecasting, estimation, and planning capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating directly with engineering teams (not through layers).

Nice to have

• Experience in media, audio, or streaming environments.
• Comfortable using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) at an advanced level.
