Location: Hybrid SF Bay Area

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 base + equity

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain clean, reliable backend services.
  • Partner cross-functionally to define domain models and system architecture.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and system stability.
  • Ensure strong security practices and data protection standards.
  • Continuously improve code quality, infrastructure, and engineering processes.
  • Stay current on backend engineering best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong experience building and operating production web services and data systems.
  • Deep proficiency in Python and at least one modern Python web framework (e.g., Django, FastAPI).
  • Solid understanding of databases, data modeling, and data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with modern backend frameworks, tooling, and libraries.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows and automated deployment systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
