Salary: $155,000 – $194,000/year, plus discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design and architecture of backend features for the Machine Identity Cloud platform.
• Develop AI-first SDK and tooling integrations (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Develop and maintain high-quality backend services using Golang and Java.
• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed services.
• Drive continuous improvement of development practices, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Participate in a paid on-call rotation to help ensure platform reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• Proven experience building modern, scalable backend or distributed systems.
• Experience with AI-first development.
• Strong proficiency with Golang, Java, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of x509, PKI, and certificate issuance protocols is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performance engineering environment.
