Backend Engineer III, Falcon NG-SIEM, Global Serverless Platform (Golang)

Senior Backend Engineer III (Golang): Building and operating global and region-level automation for an industry-leading event data store and search system with an accent on scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency. Focus on developing control plane capabilities in Golang, optimizing hardware utilization, and ensuring durability for the NG-SIEM data plane.

Location: Hybrid, on-site in New York, NY, USA. Candidate should be comfortable visiting the office twice a week.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

What you will do

• Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects.
• Participate in scoping, designing, and developing new features for the NG-SIEM Global Serverless Platform.
• Contribute to the scalability of the LogScale engine.
• Develop control plane in Golang, extending capabilities and ensuring high availability.
• Communicate technical decisions through design documents and internal documentation.
• Monitor features in production and troubleshoot critical production issues.

Requirements

• Experience in software development and a strong interest in distributed systems.
• Ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs between short-term delivery and long-term product goals.
• Experience contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services.
• Proficiency in both functional and object-oriented programming.
• English: B2 required.
• Must have US work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience programming in Golang.
• Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kafka.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale system architecture, high scalability, and optimization.
• Exposure to Log Management or cybersecurity products.
