What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of the service-oriented architecture, migrating services to Kubernetes.
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, observability, and system design across critical services.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support their skill development.
• Build, run, and monitor your own software, with support from DevOps and 3rd-line teams (no on-call).
• Take initiative to improve what and how features are built, bringing autonomy and ownership.
• Actively seek collaboration and help the team work more effectively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience with designing complex, large-scale, and highly performant systems.
• Good English language skills.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands and hold valid EU work authorisation.

Nice to have

• Dutch language skills.
• Experience in a regulated environment (medical or financial industries).
• DevOps experience and/or experience with containerized software.
