What you will do

  • Lead and mentor the game's engineering team across experience levels, fostering a culture of ownership and high-performing execution.
  • Own the technical architecture and strategy for your game, balancing immediate delivery with long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Champion engineering workflows that prioritize speed and reliability, enabling rapid iteration and confident shipping.
  • Partner proactively across disciplines (Product, Design, Art, Data, QA) to remove blockers and ensure engineering solutions.
  • Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, mobile performance, observability, and technical documentation.
  • Manage engineering resource allocation, making data-informed decisions to balance feature delivery, technical debt, and live operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Director or equivalent, shipping and operating mobile free-to-play or live service titles.
  • Strong technical credibility in Unity and mobile game development, including architectural decision-making and code review.
  • Track record of building high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Experience as a cross-functional partner, able to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency with the free-to-play business model and designing systems that support monetization and live operations.
  • Clear, direct communication skills to build trust across a globally distributed, remote-first team.
  • English: B2 proficiency.
