Staff Engineer (AI/LLM): Building and optimizing systems to accelerate agentic coding by leveraging engineering lessons from codebases and turning them into real-time guardrails with an accent on full-stack development, LLM infrastructure, and AI model integration. Focus on proactively identifying and implementing product improvements, crafting delightful user interactions, and driving company foundations.

Location: We work hybrid in-person in San Francisco and New York City, but are open to remote for strong candidates.

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 USD

• Talk directly to users to understand requirements, build, and iterate on feedback.
• Craft delightful product interactions.

Requirements

• Experience building 0 to 1 products, either as a founder or early engineer at a funded startup.
• Hands-on experience with the latest AI models, with a strong intuition about model capabilities and how to prompt them.
• Data science experience, especially around clustering and anomaly detection.
• Clear and thoughtful communication on technical and strategic topics.
• Well-crafted, tastefully-designed work examples.

Nice to have

• Experience working on programming language tooling: compilers/parsers/indexers or type systems.
