Network Architect

TL;DR

Network Architect: Building and optimizing robust network solutions with an accent on technical strategy, design, and implementation for large client outsourcing environments. Focus on advanced network skills, emerging technologies, and compliance with stringent change management processes.

Location: Hybrid working with a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home. Must be based in the UK and have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

What you will do

• Design technical solutions, including product selection for the network technology stack, cloud services, Software Defined Networks, load balancers, firewalls, and proxies.
• Provide ideas and innovation, maintain a view of emerging technologies, and provide overall network technical strategy and leadership.
• Review client network infrastructures and propose options for improvements.
• Take customer and/or project specifications and turn them into completed design definitions, leading the implementation of changes.
• Ensure compliance with a stringent change management process, with high accuracy in proposed implementation activities.

Requirements

• Expert-level working knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routing, and switching within LAN/WAN/Data Centre/Public Cloud environments.
• Practical and demonstrable experience implementing Cisco ACI.
• Experience with latest generation networking technologies (e.g., Cisco MSO, NAE, ACI Anywhere; SD WAN, SD Access).
• Experience with automation/orchestration, including network stack integration, Terraform, Ansible, Python, JSON, and APIs.
• Experience with security products such as Cisco, FortiGate, and Fortinet SD-WAN firewalls.
• Must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware NSX and other NFV products.
• Experience with tooling such as Cisco Tetration, Solarwinds, and CA.
• Additional experience with load balancers, hardware proxy devices, IDS/AV, and Voice technologies.
• Experience with key vendors including F5, Bluecoat, Checkpoint, Azure, Amazon, and Google Cloud.
