What you will do

• Improve hirify.globalsearch’s components supporting concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines.
• Maintain the cluster coordination system to ensure high performance and system safety during node changes and data movement.
• Push the limits on the number of shards, nodes, and petabytes hirify.globalsearch can handle.
• Investigate and propose solutions for various issues, including performance and concurrency problems.
• Support support engineers with complex problems.

Requirements

• Strong background in distributed systems, consensus algorithms, and deep technical proficiency in algorithms.
• Strong skills in core Java, conversant in standard library data structures and concurrency constructs.
• Proven ability to understand, build, and debug features in complex, highly distributed systems with broad impact across multiple machines.
• Experience owning projects from technical design to development, including leading initiatives across multiple teams and communicating with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Data stores, Search, analytics, or Lucene.
• Strong knowledge of the JDK.
• Experience with asynchronous event-driven network frameworks such as Netty.
