What you will do

• Deliver on project goals spanning 6-18 months.
• Define the roadmap for the next 12 months.
• Write well-tested, production-ready C++ code.
• Research state-of-the-art query systems to inform design.
• Provide technical vision and direction using deep product and industry knowledge.
• Advise management on roadmap, processes, architecture, and design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams across the company.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data management systems.
• Experience building production-level code with robust design and rigorous quality.
• Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture.
• Experience with large C++ codebases or other systems programming languages.
• Passion for the theory and practice of database query engines, with hands-on or academic experience in the database domain.
