Senior Engineer, Cloud Native (AI): Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure identity and access management solutions crucial to the AIDR platform with an accent on modern identity protocols and fine-grained access control. Focus on evolving resilient Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) systems and integrating secure user login experiences for AI Security (NHI).

Location: Hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the following US locations: Sunnyvale, CA, Austin, TX, or Redmond, WA.

Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy cloud-native Authentication (AuthN) and Authorization (AuthZ) services.
• Implement and manage modern identity standards like OAuth 2.1 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Develop and maintain user/group provisioning capabilities using SCIM protocol.
• Engineer and iterate on Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) for fine-grained access control, including for Non-Human Identities (NHI).
• Implement and maintain frontend integrations for user identity features and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and operational support for core identity services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in designing and implementing highly available Authentication and Authorization services.
• Deep expertise in identity protocols (OAuth 2.1, OpenID Connect) and provisioning (SCIM).
• Proven experience with sophisticated access control models (ReBAC, ABAC, RBAC) in large-scale microservices environments.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern backend languages (Go, Python).
• Experience integrating identity features into frontend applications (React, Vue, Angular) and secure session/MFA.
• English: B2 required, and ability to pass additional background and fingerprint checks.

• Prior experience at a security-focused company or with security products.
• Strong knowledge of the broader security landscape, especially AI Security.
