Location: This is an onsite position in Newark, CA.

Salary: $208,400–$305,580 USD annually

What you will do

• Serve as the primary IT partner for engineering systems, supporting software, hardware, vehicle, and powertrain teams.
• Define and own a multi-year roadmap for engineering tools aligned with engineering priorities and product delivery needs.
• Lead the administration, configuration, and support for engineering systems including Jira, Confluence, Jama, SCM, build and release automation, test management, PLM, CAD, and CAE tools.
• Collaborate on integrations between engineering and enterprise systems, implementing automation rules and standard templates.
• Set team goals, establish performance expectations, and build a positive culture of ownership and customer-focused service.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and support escalations for the engineering tools ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years leading engineering systems, product lifecycle management (PLM) platforms, or CAD/CAE toolchains in a complex hardware-software environment.
• Track record of stakeholder engagement with engineering executives and ability to translate program needs into platform roadmaps.
• Demonstrated experience owning engineering tooling platforms such as 3DExperience, Catia, Jira, Confluence, and Jama.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers and building operational routines.
• Clear, direct communication skills and strong documentation practices.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering management, business administration, information systems, or a related field.
• Experience supporting hardware and software product development organizations that build complex products (e.g., automotive, aerospace, robotics).
• Experience leading tool migrations, including planning, data mapping, user training, and cutover support.
