What you will do

• Lead architecture and delivery of real-time, AI-powered fraud and abuse defenses globally.
• Integrate Generative and Agentic AI into fraud detection workflows to simplify and modernize the platform.
• Benchmark vendor, open source, and in-house solutions for performance, cost, and risk.
• Build, deploy, and operate ML in production, partnering with Data Science/ML Scientists.
• Establish SLOs, observability, and safety mechanisms, ensuring security and compliance.
• Mentor engineers and champion AI adoption within the organization.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software engineering experience, including developing, deploying, and operating ML/AI solutions in production.
• Demonstrable experience building, monitoring, and debugging LLM and multi-agent applications (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Langfuse).
• Experience with RAG-based architectures, data orchestration (e.g., LlamaIndex), and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone).
• Familiarity with various LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic).
• Strong coding skills in Java, Scala, Go, or Python.
• Familiarity with distributed cloud-native engineering at scale (AWS, GCP, or Azure), microservices, API-driven design, SQL/NoSQL databases, and data streaming (Kafka, Flink, Spark).

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating fraud and risk systems or other ML/AI heavy systems in production.
• Experience with Graph/sequence modeling or entity resolution at scale.
• Track record reducing manual operations via automation.
