What you will do

• Debug complex issues spanning distributed systems and develop performant APIs for reliable data synchronization between platforms.
• Build software solutions designed for enterprise environments with strict requirements for security, performance, and scalability.
• Take complete ownership of code quality through comprehensive testing, code reviews, and participation in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX designers, and engineering teams across both hirify.global and Slack.
• Conduct technical research, present technical proposals, facilitate architecture discussions, and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver features on schedule, identify risks, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack software development, with a track record of delivering high-impact projects.
• Strong experience writing and maintaining production Java code, with deep understanding of JVM-based systems.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale, understanding challenges like eventual consistency and fault tolerance.
• Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and real-time communication patterns.
• Demonstrated expertise in debugging complex systems across the full stack and troubleshooting production issues.
• Background in Enterprise Software Development, understanding security, multi-tenancy, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Skilled at incorporating AI tools into daily workflows (coding, debugging, documentation).
• Hands-on experience with hirify.global development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, hirify.global APIs).
• Experience building Slack apps or working with Slack APIs.
• Hands-on experience working with generative AI APIs or hirify.global Einstein AI.
• Experience designing and operating microservices architectures using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
