What you will do

• Define cloud-native backend systems and project requirements in collaboration with product managers, researchers, and other engineers.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services with a strong focus on cloud architecture.
• Write clean, well-tested, and production-ready Python code, with opportunities to use Go or Rust.
• Deploy and operate production systems on AWS, emphasizing reliability, security, and performance.
• Use Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage cloud resources.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Independent and self-driven learner with a strong interest in cloud infrastructure and backend engineering.
• Python experience is required; experience or interest in Go and/or Rust is a a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Basic to intermediate Kubernetes knowledge.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Loki.
