TL;DR

Service Management Specialist: Provides hands-on operational support across multiple ITIL practices to maintain service stability and improve operational consistency. Focus on adapting to shifting priorities, analyzing service data for improvement, and strengthening collaboration across teams and suppliers.

Location: Must be based in the UK and willing to travel for projects within the UK.

What you will do

  • Provide hands-on support across various ITIL practices based on operational demand.
  • Step into different capability areas (Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Reporting, CI) to provide short-term reinforcement.
  • Assist with day-to-day service management activities and participate in the Major Incident on-call rota.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and ensure consistent application of service management standards.
  • Produce clear service reports, dashboards, and analyze data to highlight trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal teams, third-party suppliers, and service owners.

Requirements

  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification (essential).
  • Awareness of the full ITIL practice landscape with experience in ITIL-aligned or SIAM-based environments.
  • Exposure to multiple service management processes through hands-on operational roles.
  • Proficiency with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, including basic reporting or dashboard creation.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and be able to attain a UK Security Clearance.
  • Must be willing to do UK based travel for projects.

Nice to have

  • Additional ITIL 4 Specialist certifications.
