Storage Engineer (Cloud Storage)

Storage Engineer (Cloud Storage): Building and maintaining cloud storage solutions based on NetApp technology with an accent on supporting incidents and keeping the storage up to date. Focus on choosing hardware, ensuring redundancy, building automation, and monitoring uptime and performance in a dev-ops team.

Location: Remote work within the EU is available. The company office is based in Amsterdam.

Salary: €58,000–€70,000 annually

What you will do

• Research new technologies and build new products.
• Collaborate with other departments and vendors to deliver new services.
• Support the sales team in defining solutions for customer needs.
• Care for customers and build sustainable long-term relationships.
• Ensure services are monitored and always up and running.
• Provide 3rd level support and solve complex problems, sometimes on-call.

Requirements

• Storage experience is required.
• Knowledge of storage products, preferably NetApp.
• Knowledge of protocols such as NFS, iSCSI, CIFS, S3.
• Strong team player, able to support a culture of trust, autonomy, and collaboration.
• Self-motivated and driven by the will to provide excellent services.
• English: B2+ proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Ceph storage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products (AD, DNS, and Servers).
• Experience with Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) and Datacenter networking.
• Experience with automation tools/scripting like PowerShell, Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Experience with Chef or Ansible.
• Dutch language skills.
