Senior C#/.NET Backend Engineer: Contributing to the development and integration of the B2C domain by designing and building scalable backend solutions. Location: Hybrid in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Must be based in the Netherlands. Temporary work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year allowed.

Salary: €85,000–€120,000 gross annual

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services and integrations using .NET/C# for the B2C domain.
• Design clean, modular architectures and ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Build cloud-ready services and implement CI/CD pipelines for fast and secure delivery.
• Optimize performance and implement monitoring solutions for high availability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, testers, and product managers to deliver seamless digital solutions.
• Support and enhance the B2C ecosystem, contributing to a wider C# Community of Practice.

Requirements

• Solid experience with .NET/C# and backend development.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and cloud-native development (Azure preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in designing and building performant, maintainable, scalable, secure, and highly available microservices using best practices, SQL/NoSQL, gRPC, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Eventhub.
• Must be based in the Netherlands and fluent in English.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability, SLIs and SLOs.
• Knowledge of B2C operations.
• Experience within the energy sector.
