What you will do

• Deliver and own high-quality platform services that are reliable, scalable, and easy to consume.
• Research and recommend frameworks and architectural/code design patterns.
• Elevate team standards through technical leadership and mentoring other engineers.
• Drive operational excellence by advocating for resiliency, scalability, and establishing SLAs.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions, collaborating with stakeholders and reporting project status.

Requirements

• Must have legal work authorization in the United States.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Expert proficiency in Java and experience with backend frameworks (Java, Kotlin).
• Strong experience building distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices.

Nice to have

• Experience building a platform or shared services used by multiple teams.
• Strong communication skills and a highly effective collaborator.
• Experience working in large-scale, high-traffic systems.
• Proven ability to mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
