Salary: $169,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead engineering efforts within a small, AI-native team to prototype and ship new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate concepts into technical requirements and AI-enabled prototypes.
  • Design and build scalable backend systems using Python, Kotlin, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Develop web interfaces using React or Vue frameworks.
  • Drive technical excellence by setting code review standards and mentoring team members.
  • Manage system operations, monitoring, and on-call responsibilities to ensure high availability.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Proven experience designing backend systems at scale using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong proficiency in shipping web applications with React or Vue.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development and problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
