What you will do

• Design and build backend systems for complex carbon data workflows and integrations.
• Own features from technical design through deployment with autonomy.
• Write clean, maintainable code and establish engineering patterns.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and designers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years building complex software systems across the full development lifecycle.
• Strong backend engineering skills with experience in modern web applications.
• Deep knowledge of Python and familiarity with frontend technologies like TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, job queues, and asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of IaC/Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong collaboration skills with a product-minded approach.

Nice to have

• Startup or SaaS experience.
• Experience with data-intensive systems or climate/sustainability tech.
