Salary: $150,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as a technical leader for performance testing, data generation frameworks, standards, and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to translate real-world usage patterns into actionable performance insights.
• Analyze applications, databases, and system-level behaviors to define performance standards and benchmarks.
• Guide engineering teams in applying data-driven optimizations that improve throughput, reduce latency, and enhance system efficiency.
• Design, implement, maintain, and support performance testing and data generation frameworks using k6, JavaScript, Grafana, and InfluxDB.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural decision records, and performance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, including 2+ years in K6 or other load test frameworks and JavaScript.
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Native Environments (AWS).
• Strong background in design, performance, and optimization tuning.
• Deep expertise with distributed computing systems and container native environments.
• Proficient in scripting for automation and observability such as Bash or Python.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Must be located in specific US states (CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL*, KS, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA).
