TL;DR

Risk Onboarding Analyst (FinTech): Supporting hirify.global's risk strategy by reviewing supplier applications, investigating alerts, and conducting KYC/KYB for a SaaS platform with an accent on decision-making with limited information and continuous process improvement. Focus on identifying and assessing potential risks, ensuring compliance, and providing expertise to internal teams.

Location: This role is based in Toronto, Canada. As a digital-first company, work can be remote, from stylish hubs, or a combination of both within Canada.

What you will do

  • Review supplier applications and accounts to determine business support readiness.
  • Investigate escalations from internal teams and alerts from onboarding solutions.
  • Conduct KYC, KYB, PEPs, and sanctions screening reviews.
  • Investigate and assess transaction monitoring alerts for potential risk or suspicious activity.
  • Review, validate, and verify bank account details to ensure accuracy and compliance with AML regulations.
  • Provide insights and expertise to help improve the onboarding process and support the wider business.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Onboarding/Underwriting experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, E-Commerce, SaaS, or a similar FinTech role.
  • Prior experience conducting PEPs and sanctions screening reviews.
  • Prior experience conducting KYC & KYB reviews.
  • Familiarity with the specific risks associated with SaaS and Generative AI.
  • Strong data analysis and investigative skills.
