What you will do

• Lead the design and development of governed, finance-critical data products.
• Develop scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and Python/Scala.
• Engineer high-quality datasets to support FP&A, Oracle Fusion workflows, and GenAI Finance Assistant use cases.
• Apply expertise in distributed systems, NoSQL stores, and messaging/streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Oversee coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving solutions across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional/military experience.
• 0-2 years of people leadership or team management experience in data engineering (preferred).
• 5-7 years of software engineering experience with Java, Scala, and Python, processing large-scale data using technologies like Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Cassandra.
• 3-5 years of hands-on scripting experience (Bash, Perl, or Ruby) and working with Kafka-based or NoSQL systems.
• 2-4 years with ETL/BI tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Ab Initio, Cognos, BusinessObjects, or Oracle BI.
• 2-3 years of strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2, Postgres) and NoSQL platforms (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
• Must be able to work on-site in Fort Worth, TX at least 2 days a week.
