What you will do

• Develop and drive a strategic vision for data quality and reliability.
• Partner with leadership across data, ML, and AI Productivity teams to shape data vision and democratize data.
• Define and implement data modeling best practices using frameworks like dimensional modeling.
• Build and optimize foundational, high-leverage datasets for analytics, machine learning, and experimentation.
• Establish metrics governance and a robust semantic layer for accurate, AI-powered insights.
• Strengthen and foster a collaborative, world-class data engineering team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data and/or analytics engineering with scalable data systems.
• 5+ years of management experience, having grown other managers and technical leaders.
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with data science, ML, and engineering teams.
• Deep hands-on expertise with modern data storage and processing technologies (BigQuery, SQL, Airflow, dbt).
• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding technologies (Looker, Tableau).
• Track record of building and scaling semantic/metrics layers (dbt metrics, Looker LookML).
• Exceptional communication and influence skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
