TL;DR

Senior Calibration Automation Software Engineer (Computer Vision): Developing, testing, and maintaining software and processes for calibrating mobile indoor mapping systems with an accent on improving existing algorithms and designing automated post-processing workflows. Focus on leveraging computer vision techniques for sensor calibration and ensuring data quality in complex environments.

Location: Munich, Germany (hybrid work setup available). Full visa and relocation support for international candidates is offered.

What you will do

  • Build, test, improve, and maintain software and processes to calibrate Mobile Mapping Systems.
  • Drive the full calibration life cycle: design, implementation, evaluation, and production roll-out.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify, escalate, and resolve issues.
  • Improve existing calibration algorithms and contribute to greenfield calibration projects.
  • Design and automate post-processing workflows on local build infrastructure and cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, ideally in computer vision and calibration.
  • Strong coding skills in C++ and Python.
  • Strong software development experience on Linux.
  • Experience with workflow automation using local build servers and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong focus on data quality and passion for improving processes and workflows.

Nice to have

  • Experience with C++ Libraries like Ceres, ROS, Boost, Eigen, OpenCV, PCL.
  • Experience in the calibration of sensors in general, and ideally with sensor models for cameras, laser scanners/LIDARs, and IMUs.
