What you will do

• Lead project teams in implementing controls, application modes, and grid integration requirements.
• Integrate BESS control systems into Transmission System Operator (TSO) EMS systems and develop control schemes.
• Guide field engineers to resolve technical issues during system commissioning and testing.
• Develop and test control applications for utility-scale energy storage solutions.
• Create and execute standardized test procedures (FAT/SAT) and conduct prototype evaluations in labs.
• Manage technical interfaces with clients and subcontractors to ensure controls compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Industrial Engineering with a focus on automation and controls.
• 5+ years of experience in controls/software within the power utility industry or power plant operation.
• Expertise in EMS systems, grid code analysis, and SCADA protocols (IEC 60870, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus).
• Proficiency in Linux, Python, shell/bash scripting, and GitHub.
• Experience with C/C++ and MathWorks Simulink for model-based systems engineering.
• Fluency in both English and German is required.
