What you will do

• Design and build a unified platform as the single control center for customers to manage IoT fleets.
• Design event-driven services to process real-time device events.
• Build API surfaces for managing and observing IoT fleets.
• Architect scalable systems to support thousands of devices, with a roadmap to millions worldwide.
• Consolidate functionality from acquired systems into one global platform.
• Shape engineering standards and potentially grow into leading a subteam.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Java.
• Strong experience with modern Java (11+, ideally 17 or 21) and frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and API-first backend design.
• Strong understanding of Docker, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Communicative engineer who enjoys working closely with product and business stakeholders.
• Pragmatic mindset with a focus on clean code, testing, reliability, and scalability.
• Must hold an EU passport (no visa sponsorship possible).

• Experience with IoT or distributed systems.
