Software Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fintech): Developing and optimizing front-office web applications for trading platforms with an accent on backend and frontend development using modern stacks. Focus on designing scalable solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and modernizing existing Excel-based tools.

Location: NYC (Hybrid – at least 4 days onsite/week). Visa sponsorship is available under specific treaty-based U.S. work visas (TN and E-2) for eligible Canadian, Mexican, and French citizens to work in the U.S.

Salary: US$95,000–US$135,000

What you will do

• Design, build, and support front-office web applications (frontend & backend) using a modern stack.
• Deliver scalable solutions that meet user needs and deadlines.
• Troubleshoot issues, provide efficient fixes, and document solutions.
• Own application streams with a high level of autonomy.
• Lead the modernization of Excel-based tools while supporting existing workflows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in object-oriented programming (C# or Python).
• 2+ years working with React or a similar modern frontend framework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Curious, adaptable, and comfortable learning new domains; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Basic finance knowledge or willingness to learn (Repo, Collateral, Triparty).
• Must possess U.S. work authorization, with visa sponsorship available for eligible Canadian, Mexican, and French citizens (TN and E-2 visas).

Nice to have

• Exposure to trading floor environments.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, DDD, or VBA.
