What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives through the sales cycle for opportunity qualification, technical evaluations, and expanding customer usage.
• Lead technical conversations with engineering leaders to understand systems, constraints, and business objectives.
• Build tailored demos and proof-of-concepts, showcasing Temporal for AI and agentic workloads.
• Deliver enablement sessions to help customer engineering teams adopt Temporal effectively.
• Create reusable technical assets to accelerate deals and scale team impact.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Developer Success to influence the roadmap with field insights.

Requirements

• Strong development background with hands-on coding in Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems (reliability, observability, fault tolerance).
• Proven experience in pre-sales, customer-facing engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills in high-volume environments.
• Enthusiasm for AI/ML technologies and emerging use cases in agentic workflows and LLM orchestration.
• Strong technical communication skills to lead senior engineer conversations and translate complex concepts.
• Must reside in the United States Eastern or Central Time Zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow engines, event-driven architectures, or orchestration technologies (Temporal, Cadence).
• Background articulating the value of commercial SaaS offerings that compete with open source.
• Contributions to developer tooling, open source projects, or technical content.
• Certifications with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) or foundational AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).
