What you will do
- Lead the long-term health, roadmap, and execution of Economic Risk across hirify.global.
- Oversee the daily execution of the engineering roadmap, ensuring high-quality and reliable code delivery.
- Architect and maintain low-latency engines for real-time risk and fraud decisioning.
- Build infrastructure to automate chargeback and dispute management, leveraging machine learning.
- Develop systemic controls for AML and compliance workflows.
- Own data pipelines and simulation environments for risk model prototyping, backtesting, and deployment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on highly scalable distributed systems.
- 5+ years of direct experience managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
- Deep experience in the payments domain, specifically in fraud detection, chargeback mitigation, AML, or risk engine architecture.
- Experience building and scaling real-time risk or fraud platforms at a global scale.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical trade-offs to various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with various global payment methods and complexities of international funds acquisition.
