Location: This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, and operates in a hybrid model with at least three days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Lead incident response and resolve alerts, escalating complex issues to the New Zealand OnCall team when needed.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Ensure smooth coordination across regions through clear communication and timely updates.
• Communicate status, blockers, and concerns to the APAC Team Lead and Cloud Operations Manager.
• Share new technologies and learnings with the team and support ongoing development.
• Enhance systems, documentation, and processes by identifying improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ experience in Cloud Operations or equivalent role.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong Linux knowledge with deep experience in Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, or infrastructure-related scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and logging/monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
