Lead Software Engineer

TL;DR

Lead Software Engineer (Backend): Designing and optimizing high-load backend RESTful API web services using a Microservices architecture on AWS. Focus on technical leadership, mentoring other developers, and driving application development within an Agile framework.

Salary: $128,470.00 - $208,770.00

• Design and develop backend RESTful API web services using Microservices architecture.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to development and support teams.
• Oversee and mentor other developers and conduct code reviews.
• Drive application development to deliver business valuable features.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team.
• Lead development of new functionality on cross-functional Agile project teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software development, design, and architecture.
• Extensive experience with Java 17 or higher and SpringBoot RESTful API development.
• Extensive experience deploying and maintaining software using public clouds (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with message streaming solutions (e.g., AWS Kinesis, Apache Kafka) and various datastores (e.g., AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience deploying software using CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jenkins) and working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum).
