Location: Remote - United States. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands. hirify.global is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC. You may occasionally visit a hirify.global office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Salary: $118,500.00 – $231,000.00

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, mentoring engineers to deliver quality software efficiently.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define and execute strategic initiatives.
• Drive platform excellence by ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal developer experience.
• Champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, observability, and secure software development.
• Collaborate with enterprise teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in engineering management or tech lead roles.
• Proven leadership of backend/platform teams delivering production-scale services.
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed systems expertise.
• Hands-on programming skills in Python, Go, or Node.js with CI/CD and observability experience.
• Leadership and project management abilities, including stakeholder management and cross-functional project delivery.

Nice to have

• AI/ML Infrastructure Experience - Working with LLMs, RAG systems, or broader AI/ML infrastructure.
• Container Orchestration - Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Security & Privacy - Experience with secure data handling and privacy frameworks.
• Developer Platform Background - Experience building internal tooling or developer platforms.
• Leadership & Community Engagement - Passion for team building, mentoring engineers, and contributing to open-source initiatives.
