What you will do

• Build security protections and guardrails into systems to ensure a secure-by-default posture.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on design reviews and threat modeling sessions.
• Understand, oversee, and drive rituals associated with HIPAA, SOC2, SOC1, PCI, and HITRUST compliance.
• Regularly audit platforms and tech stack for vulnerabilities, ensuring timely identification and addressing.
• Manage third-party relationships, coordinating with vendors for penetration testing and other security services.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in the security domain with a proven track record of hands-on involvement.
• Strong knowledge and experience with security compliance rituals and routines.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA.
• Ability to write code to automate security processes.
• Ability to read, understand, and audit systems, networks, and IT setups.
• Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco, Denver, New York City, or Menlo Park, USA.
