Location: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $295,000 - $345,000 USD

What you will do

• Manage the daily operations of the National Security Policy team, including workflow, priorities, and deliverables.
• Run team rhythms, keep work on track, surface blockers early, and drive resolution.
• Own hiring, onboarding, performance conversations, and career development.
• Act as proxy for the Head of National Security Policy in internal meetings and decision-making processes when needed.
• Draft key internal and external documents, briefings, and communications.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across Policy, Legal, Comms, Security, and other functions.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of national security matters, government, AI policy, or related fields.
• Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong operational instincts—able to build systems, keep complex work organized, and deliver results.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build alignment across diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent judgment and discretion in sensitive contexts.
• Clear, concise communicator with experience drafting for senior leaders.
