Cyber Security Officer (Cloud)

Salary: £75,000–£80,000 per annum

What you will do

• Proactively monitor for, identify, respond to, and resolve security incidents.
• Conduct internal technical and compliance audits to ensure adherence to processes and effectiveness of controls (ISO27001).
• Continuously improve the security posture of the business and advocate for security practices across projects and teams.
• Identify and document vulnerabilities and security risks in networks, operating systems, applications, and databases, providing guidance for remediation.
• Research the latest security/cyber threats to drive improvements in projects and existing tools.
• Provide IT security operational support to managed services teams and generate security reports for customers.

Requirements

• Experienced working in and securing cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Experience as a Cyber Security Officer or similar role within a large organisation.
• Good working knowledge of common vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
• Good working knowledge of networking technologies, principles, concepts, and various operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, Solaris) with hardening configurations.
• Good knowledge of cloud security best practices, security solutions, and methodologies for conducting security assessments.
• Good knowledge of cyber security threats and techniques used by adversaries.

Nice to have

• Comptia Security + or equivalent professional certification.
• ISC2 CISSP certification.
• AWS/Cloud certified.
• Experience with Rapid 7 InsightVM and InsightIDR or securing Enterprise Databases.
• Knowledge of UK financial sector regulation and/or bank and building society IT operations.
