Location: Remote within the UK or London/Cardiff office-based. You must hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of this placement.

Salary: £30,600 annual gross salary

What you will do

• Work with the business to manage security risks associated with high-priority suppliers and partners.
• Contribute to improving security management by leveraging new technologies like generative AI.
• Assess and help mitigate security risks for product launches and business changes.
• Assist in monitoring security events and alerts using SIEM tooling.
• Analyze security event data to identify potential indicators of compromise and security incidents.
• Participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Currently completing your second year at University.
• Understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Strong interest in security operations, incident response, and threat detection methodologies.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively.
• Confident in communicating, in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
