Senior Software Engineer

TL;DR

Location: Onsite in London. Comfortable working on an agile, distributed team spanning multiple time zones and continents.

What you will do

• Design, build, deliver, and own full lifecycle development software from inception to production.
• Drive complex changes involving multiple components and deliver quality changes with automated tests, metrics, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with team members to implement and maintain product features and guide product roadmap changes.
• Build components and processes used by others, incorporating user data, observations, and market insight.
• Work in a distributed system environment, understanding business objectives and system architecture fundamentals.
• Lead projects with technical ambiguity, contribute to success criteria, and mentor others.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience working with distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more of C#, Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Knowledge of software development code editors (Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Rider) and version control systems (Git, Perforce).
• 7+ years of software development engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s level degree in computer science or relevant engineering-related field or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with database engines (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, Aerospike, Vertica, Redis).
• Experience building micro-services.
• Knowledge of operating systems, cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka.
