What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior software engineers, fostering ownership and collaboration.
• Set clear expectations, provide feedback, coaching, and career development for engineers.
• Provide technical and architectural guidance for large-scale backend systems built primarily in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Ensure systems are designed for scale, reliability, and operational excellence, supporting high-throughput workloads.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, SRE, and other Engineering teams to align on priorities and execution.
• Continuously improve team processes, rituals, and engineering practices, promoting knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Scala, or Java.
• Successfully built or managed internal platforms, libraries, frameworks, tooling, or large-scale projects requiring cross-team alignment.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and a deep understanding of writing readable, testable, maintainable, and performant code.
• Proven ability to get things done, set a clear technical vision, establish effective engineering processes, and make data-driven decisions.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid mode from Warsaw, Poland, with a minimum of 2 days in the office each week.
