CD PROJEKT RED is a world-renowned studio focused on creating story-driven RPGs that leave a lasting emotional impact. We are looking for an experienced Senior VFX Artist to join the team working on The Witcher 4, the first title in a new saga. This role is ideal for an artist who combines strong artistic vision with deep technical expertise and enjoys collaboration in a high-quality AAA production environment.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Creating high-quality real-time VFX for gameplay, environments and cinematics
• Collaborating with artists, designers and engineers to deliver visually stunning and performant effects
• Contributing to creative and technical solutions that enhance storytelling and immersion
• Exploring new tools, workflows and techniques for real-time VFX
• Ensuring VFX assets meet artistic and technical requirements
• Estimating and planning work together with leads and producers
📚 Required Skills
• Proven experience in game development with Unreal Engine
• Strong artistic eye for detail, composition and motion
• Advanced experience with VFX tools and pipelines including Niagara
• Ability to create complex materials in Unreal Engine
• Solid understanding of real-time rendering, lighting, shaders and PBR
• Experience with real-time simulations and optimization
• Proactive mindset and openness to feedback
• Strong communication skills
• Portfolio demonstrating high-quality game VFX
• Fluent spoken and written English
👍 Nice to Have
• Experience with Houdini for procedural content
• Experience with Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine
