CG Environment Artist (VFX): Producing seamlessly integrated photo-realistic environments and landscapes for film and episodic content, with an accent on traditional and digital art techniques and advanced matte painting. Location: Candidates must be physically located in Europe to be considered. Priority will be given to artists located in Baden-Württemburg, Germany.

What you will do

• Produce seamlessly integrated photo-realistic environments and landscapes for assigned projects.
• Demonstrate solid mastery of traditional, digital, and photo-realistic art techniques.
• Understand and apply advanced matte painting techniques including appropriate layering and scene management.
• Utilize technical experience in photography or lighting with an emphasis on color and composition.
• Work effectively and collaboratively within a strong team environment.
• Solve creative problems and maintain excellent attention to detail, even under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience creating CG environments for features or episodic content.
• Excellent skills in Houdini, organic and hard surface sculpting in Zbrush, Substance Suite, and Maya.
• Understanding of advanced matte painting techniques.
• Technical experience in photography or lighting with an emphasis on color and composition.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ifx Clarisse, GAEA or World Creator.
• Python scripting experience.
